Location:  Ecuador- Termas Papallacta, Otavalo, Fuya Fuya and Cuicocha- Guinea Pig Lake 

Itinerary overview

Saturday September 22nd

Arrival and overnight in Quito.

Altitude: 9,350 ft/ 2,850m

Sunday September 23rd 

Travel to Upper Amazon Basin.

Overnight: Termas Papallacta Resort & Spa

Altitude: 10,824 ft/ 3,300m

Breakfast included

Monday September 24th and Tuesday September 25th

Hiking in Cayambe Coca Ecological Reserve.

Overnight: Termas Papallacta Resort & Spa

Altitude: 10,824 ft/ 3,300m

Breakfast included

September 26th 

Head north to Otavalo.

Home base for the next three nights will be an restored 17th century hacienda.

Altitude: 8,530ft/ 2,600m

Breakfast and dinner included.

September 27th

Hike in the Cotacachi- Cyapas ecological reserve. Hike around Cuicocha (Guinea Pig Lake).

Altitude: 8,530ft/ 2,600m

Climbing/ Trekking time: 4-6hours

September 28th

Climb Fuya Fuya. Summit: 13,986ft/ 4263m 

All meals included

September 29th

Return flights to Canada

Breakfast included
